The affordability of the rent is the focus for each housing project. This way, more people have a chance of finding a suitable rental property.

Verhuurtbeter.nl makes every effort to allocate homes TOP: Transparent, Objective and Privacy-conscious.

  • Depending on the rent, landlords require a tenant, or two tenants together, to have a monthly gross income equal to at least 3 to 4 times the basic monthly rent.

  • Entrepreneurs must have been operating their own business for at least two years to include that income.

  • Sometimes savings can be included, or guarantees are possible.

  • Sometimes age rules apply in a project.

  • Sometimes friends can share a property and sometimes this is not allowed (e.g. in studios).

  • Usually pets are allowed, but not in small studios (except for a goldfish).


So there are many different variables that affect the feasibility for a rental property.

We have therefore incorporated all applicable conditions and what is and is not allowed for each housing project in our software.

In addition, we have always listed this info up-to-date with every housing offer and advertisement (for example on Funda and Pararius), so you know in advance what is necessary and possible.

Getting started

  1. Start with the Free Search and Explore account, so you know in advance if we can help you.

  2. Fill in the search profile in your Profile Card so we know what and where you are looking. This also allows us to inform you about the projects and viewing times.

  3. Add your favourite properties to your Profile Card and see for each one whether it fits.

If a home does not fit, you will see this immediately and per home in the Profile Card of your account.

Lessors' terms are key

We do not look at what the prospective tenant is willing to pay monthly, but apply the lessors' conditions.

We work on the basis of registration duration, also known as waiting list. Enrolment duration starts as soon as you make the payment for the Faster Renting account.

Income and your situation can change, so if something does not fit now, but you have time to wait, you can of course apply and thus make the waiting period work for you until you meet the requierements.

We only allocate the property if you meet the conditions.
